2024 International Summer Camp For Junior Orchestra & Ensemble

What are the Dates?​

Tuesday July 30 – Friday August 9, 2024

Who is it for?

The camp is open to students aged between 8 to university graduate level (must be in full time education) on any instrument (strings, wind, brass, piano, percussion and plucked strings or voice) who are at an intermediate to advanced stage in their learning. There are also a limited number in places on our mini orchestra for instrumentalists aged 4 to 8.

Junior course faculty

What is the programme?

Students will enjoy a music programme of instrumental lessons, ensemble coaching, musicianship classes and masterclasses delivered by a team of highly experienced teachers. There is a composer in residence and the final concert will include a world premiere. Private lessons and ensemble coaching (from Royal Conservatoire professors) are also available to arrange upon request during the camp.

In addition to their studies, there will be trips to visit the Harry Potter studios, Sight-seeing and concerts in London and a tour of Cambridge University.

Where will I stay?

The Kings Ely School, Cambridgeshire is 1000 year’s old and is situated in beautiful grounds with state-of-the-art facilities. In the 11th Century, King Edward the Confessor was educated there and in 1539 it received its Royal Charter.

Students will board at the school with all meals and refreshments provided.

Certification

All participants will receive an instrument specific ESTA Education certificate of participation.

What are the fees?

£3600

​50% Deposit required at time of registration
Balance payment due by June 2, 2024 (full payment if booked after this date)
Monthly payment plan is available with Viva Musica.

Fees include room and full board at King’s Ely School Cambridge plus all activities and the use of the school’s sport’s facilities and practice studios. Flights to the UK and transfers to Cambridge are not included. Transfers from airport to hotel offered by prior arrangement.
